Thus, book 1 of 2026. The Once and Future Queen by Paula Lafferty. 3 stars. Not terrible, not the best. An Arthurian retelling involving Guinevere, time travel, and a little bit of shoe-horned-in spice. I found myself wanting the characters to be more true to their origins.

As another quote tweet mentions, we don't have any visual/full audio recordings of the original production, but I do really love what we get of her Guinevere in the Original Cast Recording. She was very, very young and she plays her as genuinely schoolgirlish at times in a way that works so well.
