I love this. One of the main reasons I'm generally an optimistic person is that I notice and appreciate small kindnesses *all the time.* They sustain me. Years later, I remember the stranger who handed me a bandaid when I cut myself, the train conductor who drove me to my hostel at midnight.

Trivia: Als ich damals in Berlin angekommen bin, habe ich erstmal zwei Monate im Hostel gewohnt; für 7 bis 10 EUR die Nacht.
Ich musste zwei Tage vor dem Einzug in eine Mietwohnung aus dem Hostel raus, weil dort Strom und Wasser ausgefallen ist.
Ich wünsche den Studierenden viel Glück.

After we decided to check out the area around Fagradalsfjall and Sundhnúkur volcanos, we went back to our hostel near Reykjavik and finished the day with a perfect vegan menu at the Loving Vegan in Hafnarfjörður. 5/5, if you ever make your way to Reykjavik broader area it is soooo worth the trip

Years ago I was traveling in Krakow and i met a catholic woman who was traveling with her church choir & staying at my hostel. She found out I was Jewish because I revealed it when I was booking my ticket to visit Auschwitz. She proceeded to tell me a story. 1/
