Like yeah, I know, it's uncool and cringe to be idealistic and believe in a mission and swear an oath. You're supposed to believe that everyone in government is corrupt and broken and inept.
Which begs the question, so how do you convince the people to put government in charge of health care?

i think this is way less idealistic and pie in the sky than people think. i don’t think that the left coalition can permanently hold people with the range of views we have. and if the anti-tech trends of the current left continue, people like me sincerely will need a party to call home

Perhaps I'm naive and/or idealistic, but I try to only think the worst of those few people who have proven that they themselves think the worst of pretty much all people.

LOOK. you cannot ever truly trust a politician. even the most idealistic politician with the truest heart and the purest intentions will in time be broken down by the realities of the work demanding profound moral compromise. HOWEVER,
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

LOOK. you cannot ever truly trust a politician. even the most idealistic politician with the truest heart and the purest intentions will in time be broken down by the realities of the work demanding profound moral compromise. HOWEVER,

I think he's going to be more pragmatic than a lot of people think. That idealistic stuff is great to get people motivated but then you gotta get shit done. And that means compromises. Hopefully, fair ones! But people are gonna need to check their tenderqueerness at the door and get over it.

did people not watch S1? Charlie's entire personality is idealistic dreamer getting her dreams crushed but never giving up. as frustrating as episode 3 was to watch, it's EXACTLY what she'd do after receiving the info at the end of episode 1. also Dudley Do Bad was amazing. lolol.
