It's very enlightening to move to Ireland from the U.S. because it's such a small country with very socially conscious & kind people and it's mind blowing to see this type of incitement and manipulation from outside agitators work here as well (not as well as everywhere else, but they're not immune)

I don't know why the UK lets a foreign oligarch and his stable of influencers stoke civil war in their country.

I'd like to see Merrick Garland prosecuted for not prosecuting Donald Trump for his leading January 6.

go look at literally any media channel controlled by or dominated by the right and it’s a nonstop avalanche of nativist incitement, depicting immigrants as inherently dangerous. this extends far out of US media - if anything, it’s far worse in Europe. why would this not the obvious causal factor

A Trump hack prosecutor brought a guy up on incitement charges for posts on Bluesky wishing for Trump's demise. The jury acquitted him in 2 hours. But I still worry about it here:
First I'm hearing of this case. That it happened at all might be worth considering when someone like @radiofreetom.bsky.social insists we're still a democracy because we can shitpost & whine on here all we like in unadulterated freedom.
