@AuthenticPhoto They're not out there because few devices are generating it and every single publishing system strips metadata. I'm doing a talk on the subject at next week's IPTC event and will blog my findings. Tl;Dr: Everything is V1.0 at best. But there is progress.

Hvis mediefiler har ordentlige exif/iptc-metadata, er filnavnet og -placeringenunderordnet. Jeg ser på mine 4.500 film gennem internetforbrugeren.dk/jellyfin-fam... og er derfor herligt ligeglad med filnavn og -placering.

Hello @bazzacollins.bsky.social! Apple doesn't have to join as they are already implementing the IPTC "GenAI" tag, which is in accordance with the C2PA specifications concerning AI. Meta, Google, and Midjourney are also following this IPTC standard.

I've actually answered this elsewhere, but if the IPTC standard just included multiple alt text fields (maybe three) and better placeholder instructions for writing alt text, I'd have no (or little) problem with it.

Coming into the new year, I've been scanning a box of "extra" 4x6 prints from my mom. I've done 400+ now, which feels good. I scan an evelope's worth, then write the dates and captions to EXIF/IPTC data in the JPGs. I batch rename them using this data, then import to Apple Photos.
