Last year I had an art commission to paint jacarandas and was so dismayed by the amount of AI imagery that’s in gardening pages.

I love the jacarandas in Kirribilli!
The tourists have caught on that the jacarandas in our suburb (there are lots) are in full bloom and so they’ve come to take lots of photos with them (which is great for local cafes, bars, etc!)
The local dog park NIMBY-types are losing it and it’s all very funny to watch.

I know they’re an invasive species but I can see why tourists love taking pictures with jacarandas in Sydney’s spring.

Isn’t it odd how we ‘sort of’ forget about our local jacarandas until they fwoomph into flower (or until some over zealous council or Sydney water ‘arborist’ does a terrible lopping (you couldn’t call it pruning) job
