This is potentially a massive story. Did DOJ plan for survivors? Do they have sufficient evidence to prosecute? What is US jurisdiction to prosecute? Where will they go next? When is their court date? Will they be indicted? Held at Gitmo? Returned to Venezuela? Be Epsteined?

The next administration--which, God willing, will be sane--should try Trump for murder. The insane, politicized, wholly-made-up Supreme Court immunity decision should be overridden--Congress should legislate sensible immunity rules, and strip courts' jurisdiction to review.
Colombia: “US government officials have committed a murder and violated our sovereignty in territorial waters”
“Fisherman Alejandro Carranza had no ties to the drug trade and his daily activity was fishing.”
“The Colombian boat was adrift and had its distress signal up due to an engine failure.”

A few points on Trump and Hegseth and everyone else who murdered Colombian fishermen on a Colombian boat in Colombian territorial waters:
1. Colombia has jurisdiction.
2. There is no statute of limitations for murder.
3. Colombia has an extradition treaty with the US.

Any judge can essentially move sua sponte on anything, even a Supreme Court Justice. Usually it's used for a judge to say "I don't have jurisdiction, but on my own accord I'm moving it to a venue that *does* have jurisdiction."
*Very* rare to have a judge move for en banc rehearing on their own.

Another jurisdiction looking at 30km/h speed limits in urban areas 👍
Ireland is adopting a default 30 kmh (19 mph) speed limit in urban areas.
Local authorities to implement 30km/h speed limits in urban areas ‘where appropriate’ from 2027
Speed limits on roads in built-up and urban areas can only be changed where a majority of the elected members in a local authority vote to do so.

According to independent investigations by Colombian media, nearly every "fact" that Hegseth reported about the Sep 15 attack was wrong. Most significantly, the attack occurred in Colombian territorial waters, meaning it is subject to the jurisdiction of the ICC whether Hegseth likes that or not.

Could you imagine of we changed speed limits here? Drivers can't even see stop signs. I lived on Jarvis and saw the routine head-ons in the changing centre lane. sigh. (lowest skill drivers in any subnational jurisdiction - welcome to Ontario)
The geofencing is a great idea!
I had not even considered it.
Have it setup based on day/ time, & any events etc.
In Helsinki the highways have speed limits that change based on conditions, which I thought was brilliant.
It helps eliminate the hard starts, & stops, but making all speed consistent.

The United States is not a party to the Rome Statute.
But then again, Nazi Germany never signed a treaty recognizing the jurisdiction of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg. And that didn't stop anyone from putting the bastards on trial.
The ICC could learn from that example.
