Kaiba got banned from the game and challenged yugi to a duel, and that's what triggered the final duel where the sakes are ownership of the company, he raised the stakes that who wins the duel is who leads the company, going forward

the only appeal to the ban is to find a game of classic yugioh, against yugi, and he only duels who he choses, so basically no real chance to get back into the game, he accepts duels from almost no one, seeming them as not worth the time, the only duel he accepted was from kaiba, was got banned.

I've come up with more story for my idea for a yugioh continuation in the timeline and version where yugi takes over kaiba corp, they eventually convince him to have a duel to return control of kaiba corp, over to seto, and he ultimately wins, then yugi breaks down crying, thinking of the past,

Isn’t it crazy that yugi gets one pack of cards and never updates it. It still somehow can beat seto kaiba and his infinite wealth and it doesn’t even have exodia anymore

This is the most sane reaction Kaiba has had to a situation so far in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. Love him just laughing maniacally flying off into the night after all that

The canonical reason why Duel Links is a game is because Seto Kaiba wanted to use the souls of every human being using it to be able to duel Yami again. This might be my favorite fictional insane man ever

Dans Kaiba, on apprend à découvrir un étrange monde où les gens peuvent vendre leur corps (littéralement). J'ai bien aimé la première partie car chaque épisode montrait comment ce monde fonctionne avant de faire débouler l'histoire principale.

it could be two ways he returns as a hero becomes the protagonist again, or a villain, he starts off as a protagonist, but turns into a villain, takes over Kaiba corp, and has a plan to not just restore classic yugioh, but erase the new version entirely, he has a cult that helps him carry this out

a boomer, Yami returns but he's the villain, he kicks kaiba out of kaiba corp, becomes the ceo through his classic yugioh expansion, and ruined the modern game with his classic yugioh cult, that do his bidding, his acolytes, go around erasing modern yugioh from existence. as a story concept.
