I spent the afternoon watching the epic science fiction fantasy mythology mash-up movie Kalki 2898 AD. Look, it's a mess, but it's a glorious mess. Some of the CGI is clunky as heck and the director was cheerfully doing homages (nicking bits) from Star Trek and LOTR, but it has immense charm.

Even though lokah also has a long runtime, just 30 mins short of Kalki, the movie felt super short tbh because unlike Kalki's first half Lokah was perfect. At the end of the day execution matters

カルキ 2898-AD（Kalki 2898-AD）見たよ。

絵は炎を背にしたスマティの横顔。

胎児の血清を…とかいう設定からしてちょっとキモいけどどうなってるのかなぁ、と思ったけどなかなか面白かったです。金もかかってるな。プラバースかわゆい。ディーピカ美しい。バッチャン爺さんデカイ。カマルハーサン…なのか…? カイラも可愛かった。

2部構成らしいのでこの調子ではちゃんと畳めるのか疑問だけど、続きも楽しみ。パンフの山田桂子先生のコラムを読んだけど、単純な善悪対立でもないし、次の神が「この世界」を救うのかも分からないて感じになるのか…それともそうじゃないのか…どうなるんでしょうね！
