Amidst the distribution of free bus travel by the Karnataka government, preparations have now been made to put more burden on the general public. After the government announced the facility of free travel, the treasury of the government had become empty and now to fill it, the Karnataka government has taken the step of increasing the public transport expenditure. After increasing the fares of buses by 15 percent by the State Transport Corporation in Karnataka, now the fares of Bengaluru Metro (Namma Metro) will also be increased by up to 45 percent.

The minimum wage rate for skilled and unskilled workers has been increased as per the decision made by the Modi government.
