LCR went bust in 2009. Government nationalised it and then sold off a concession in 2010. Government ownership provides no leverage though I agree. Eurostar sat on its laurels for 30 years and needs competition on routes and prices. Providing Virgin with an opportunity will hopefully achieve that.

HS1 was supposed to be built with private money. However, the LCR consortium couldn't raise the funds and had to be baled out by government, with the promise that Railtrack would buy section 1 to fund section 2. That didn't happen as RT had its own issues. I was working on CTRL at the time.

I believe Casey's Rookie LCR season in '06 was more down to the fickle Honda front end/chassis he was learning. His 6 crashes were all in lead group. Nicky really struggled with it and only just clinched his Title with a last gasp. Little Dani struggled too.

Aaah, les Lambertistes. J'ai eu une de mes « discussions » politiques les plus pénibles avec eux (ils étaient 2 ou 3, c'est-à-dire quasi l'entièreté de leurs militants en Belgique) quand ne me connaissant absolument pas, ils m'ont craché tout leur mépris parce que j'étais à la LCR (belge).

Eso es lo deseable. Yo casi he vivido ese frente. En la cultura conseguimos aunar fuerzas, desde CNT, pasando por el PCE, hasta MC, LCR, PT... En estás nunca estuvo el PSOE, ni se le esperaba. Nos dio resultado, créeme. Ahora es distinto, quieren imponer, y así no vamos a ningún sitio.

My sense when devo originally happened is that GM and Manchester absolutely had the same barneys as everywhere else. But they were largely done in private so that when the policies were rolled out it was all settled.

Franchement, je peux comprendre. C’est tjrs à l’extrême limite du ridicule à force de pose, mais je trouve que ça s’en sort tjrs

j'aime pas trop Melville, je me fais super chier, pourtant j'ai essayé plusieurs fois "Le Samouraï" et LCR, et dans ce dernier cas les soucis de post-synchro + les tons de voix amorphes et le jeu au ralenti, c'est trop
