LXC watches the doctor work, and doesn’t breathe.
WWX is prowling around the infirmary, his eyes still lit red, shadows clinging to him. Shufu isn’t pleased that WWX is still here, LXC can tell. But WWX brought LWJ home. LXC won’t ask him to leave.

LQR and the doctors are in and out of the infirmary all night, but LXC is a constant presence, his eyes fixed on WQ, haunted and hopeful. WWX, too, eventually returns and settles in a corner of the room, surrounded by stacks of blood-soaked papers and muttering to himself.

I just love it when Baxia is a temperamental cat that only likes LXC. I adore it when it's a tiny, perfectly groomed Pomeranian. I lose it when Baxia is an exotic, potentially dangerous pet that NMJ treats as harmless.
