Nigerian worship leader, songwriter, and gospel music minister El Mafrex well-known for his music distinctive fusion of worship and modern gospel has released a new single "Bendo Wana" ('Fight for Me'), a song of faith and resiliency, a collaboration between Progress Effiong and Rehosax inspired by Psalms 35 and a traditional Akwa Ibom warfare anthem. This dynamic duo's combination of lyrics and emotive delivery creates a powerful yet melodically calming sound, and the trumpet serves as both a victory cry and a battle cry.

Gospel musician El Mafrex's most recent release, "Christ Obong," takes listeners on a moving trip back to his origins. A fervent expression of affection for the King, Jesus Christ. Christ Obong, which translates to "Christ, the King" in Akwa Ibom State's Ibibio dialect, is a modern take on a beloved classic gospel tune. El Mafrex is moved by recollections of his early years and remembers singing the original version with his grandmother, which was a joyful, energetic, and spiritually enriching moment.
