Okay, here we go. I'm not a masochist, so I haven't watched more than the first episode of Beast Wars II, but this has a stronger first outing. Maximals all over the galaxy are being beaten back by Predacons, with the teams on Gaia representing a vital front line due to its Angolmois Energy.

okay, research phase on Beast Machines has begun, and right off the bat, it's SO clear that this show has a ton more flexibility in its animation. scenes with background elements! experimenting with visual style! very cool shit going on here!

🪶 When we rescued her from the cloning vats, Sonar was more beast than machine. Abrasive at best and abusive at worst, certain Maximals wrote her off as a lost cause. I disagreed and vowed to help in any way I could.
