A moment of delight in software going above and beyond:

On a whim, I tried opening an Impulse Tracker .mod in MidiPlayer by Zoltan Bacsko. It worked. It built a new soundfont from the instruments and converted it to a MIDI that sounds almost the same.

Update: Version 3.2.2 — now released on the App Store — fixes this issue. If you are using the iOS, iPadOS, or macOS 26 beta, please update to the latest version via the App Store.
