Blender 5 gives us a new Array modifier and with it, the ability to easily place objects as instances along a Curve. Previously, it was done using a combination of Array and Curve modifiers, but it would deform the instances unless you used a workaround. #Blender #b3d #Blender3d

Nudging: Alt + Arrow keys move your selection in the screenspace direction, and you can still use modifiers like Shift to extrude while you nudge.

Shadows of the Tomb Raider went even further. Independent sliders for:
- combat
- exploration
- puzzles
and what they affect in gameplay terms.

We are looking for #rstats community feedback on 3 new dplyr functions!

We're aiming to expand the `filter()` family:

- `filter()` to keep rows
- `filter_out()` to drop rows
- `when_any()` and `when_all()` as modifiers

Read more and leave feedback here:

This is near the end of the first act of an ironman game on maximum difficulty (all bad modifiers, no good modifiers).

I have acquired three doctrines, have three full battalions, and am doing really well on supplies. Why? Because I can basically guarantee that I win any firefight.

How about "political reporter"? Possible modifiers include "Politico, Axios, etc."
We gotta have a clear term for people so cynical they become gullible.

They were replying to my Dragon Slayers design commentary video where I said giving fantasy races modifiers based on race was bad

I'm in a constant state of battling the whole "making references no one else knows" by subjecting my loved ones to quality memes and interesting shows.

Those modifiers are objective, too.

I'm so nice.

Shout out to Rune Quest: Slayers. They used a d6 die pool-with-modifiers roll for success system for combat. All 1s meant a fumble, and the number of 6s that hit scaled up into the crit.

Late night TTRPG History, iSuppose? Game design a bit similar to ChangedStars re:Twists\Success.

"Why does DnD have racial attributes" because all mechanics hang off of attribute modifiers so they're the most important part of the system so all player-facing options have to be structured around how they slot into the attribute system. And it's like this because it's a skirmish wargame.

In the 90s, in alt.religion.kibology, there was a time-honored tradition of adding modifiers to improve any declarative statement:

"in bed!"
"on fire!"
"with a clown!"

I feel like all of these would work here.

I will add a few more modifiers to our Daily Run mode but there's already a guarantee of 2600 possible combinations. Should keep things interesting for a while (and impossible to test fully).

getting back to learning blender and yesterday mid-tutorial looked at the physics modifiers and got hit with the realization that potentially someday I could do horny animations of my fursonas as huge fat squishy blobs and that's occupied 90% of my brain since then

That string of modifiers is worthy of a German noun.

Because Rosie's Rampage is 2.5d, I sometimes have to make a toggable Faux wall for use in cutscenes.

Also, I'm messing with adding geometric detail with Boolean modifiers.

This playtest is for checking if the daily run mode is working well. We have 26 modifiers for that game mode and since there are always 3 getting picked that means there are over 2500 possible combinations. Too many to test all of them individually.

I just, keep, getting those little pulls those urges the good memories coming back...
Day one raids with friends, being goobers and writing OC lore and doodling stuff, just barely making it to The Lighthouse, struggling with insane strike modifiers, pulling cheesy exploits...

i didn't even know that was a thing that happened in search query's, I've had things like "site:" and other query modifiers lodged in my head for what feels like forever

An Android (and Compose) tip: Use IconButton-component instead of building own, clickable component from an image with modifiers.

The button works out of the box with different input methods (touch, keyboard, Switch access, screen reader etc.)

This makes me wonder if Godot would utterly crumble or if the rig is much simpler with Unreal not being that crazy with skeletons. I assumed a lot of wacky deform modifiers or such were being used that would've trapped him in Maya.
