Here's an alternative interpretation of today's #scape theme - let's call this #Dreamscape in Blue.

I like to remix my photos into dreamy #DigitalArt pieces (see alt text for my process), and more recently I've also loved turning them into #WearableArt. These 3 images show the progression.
A serene lake (Lake Memphremagog, between Vermont & Canada) stretches across the foreground, its rippling surface reflecting the vivid blue sky above. The water mirrors the scattered, fluffy white clouds, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light and texture. A tree-lined shoreline with hints of houses and sailboats rests in the background, adding a sense of scale and tranquility. Rolling hills rise gently in the distance under a sky of brilliant blue, dotted with cotton-like clouds. I used this image as a base to create the digital art piece that accompanies this image in the post. See alt text of the artwork for more details about my process. A digitally manipulated abstract artwork featuring a symmetrical pattern of layered, angular shapes in shades of deep blue and white. The textures resemble rippling water and billowing clouds, creating an illusion of depth and movement. The mirrored design converges at the center, forming a kaleidoscopic effect that evokes both geometric precision and organic fluidity. I used the accompanying image of this post (the one of the lake) as a starting point. First, I used an Android art app called Mirror Lab (now called One Lab) to manipulate the image into a kaleidoscopic pattern, using my fingers to adjust the pattern to my liking. Then, I took that resulting image into Photoshop where I used a Wacom pen to hand-paint selections where I saw pleasing patterns. I separated each pattern onto its own layer. Finally, I used other art apps (Topaz Studio, Filter Forge) to make textural and tonal adjustments to the individual layers until I was satisfied with the results. The process of hand-painting selections has become a trusted meditative outlet for me and brings me great peace while I'm doing it. I rarely have a goal in mind when I start a piece of art; it's the journey that scratches the itch. A woman (that's me!) stands outdoors in a desert landscape, wearing a vibrant blue and white sherpa hoodie with an intricate geometric pattern. The design features angular shapes resembling ice and water. She also wears a cream-colored knit beanie and large, reflective ski goggles with a rainbow-colored lens. The bright blue sky contrasts with the earthy tones of the surrounding hills and barren ground. Her hands are tucked into the hoodie’s front pocket, and she has a relaxed expression with a slight smile. When I discovered the world of print-on-demand, where I could have my images and art printed onto clothing, home goods, and more, it opened up a whole new world for me in terms of how to express my art. I have an online store where I feature some of my designs, and I thoroughly enjoy ordering samples for my own enjoyment. This is me dressing colorfully for a DJ set I played at a desert dance party in the Mojave desert called Moontribe. I've been a part of the Moontribe community for 29 years.
