Beautiful illustrations by Helen Sewell for The Thanksgiving Story by Alice Dalgliesh (1954). Helen won the Caldecott Honor for her work done on this book - a rather unfortunate & outdated tale of the first thanksgiving between the Pilgrims and Native Americans.

From Good Housekeeping's Summertime Cook Book, 1958. Illus. by the mysterious Lou Peters, whom I found out years later (after inquiring about them on my blog in 2007) that "Lou" was actually Luciana Peters. She passed away in 2021 at the bright young age of 102.

David Klein did several variations for TWA's posters for New York. This first one, advertising for TWA Jets is dated c. 1960. The 2nd image is probably a conceptual piece (see the rough lettering for "Fly TWA Jets."
