I don't like JRPGs. You can't create your character. You can't control your character's progression. And you can't make any meaningful decisions. Morrowind was the blueprint for how a CRPG should work.

I never played an RPG like Morrowind before it, my only experience was JRPGs as a kid, being able to just steal every fork out of someones house and stack them in a tower in the middle of town, kill every npc I see jump 3000 feet in the air(then die) is a high I have been chasing ever since.

Wollte in #morrowind nur ein wenig nachspielen, weil ich beim letzten mal in ner quest der Bloodmoon hq aufgrund eines fehlenden npc nicht weiter gekommen bin.
Musste 3 quests nochmal machen aber es hat sich gelohnt, dieses mal war der Typ da und ich habe dann spontan die quest doch noch

Made it through the main story of Slime Rancher, while I want to play the second one. I want to work my way through my Steam library and finish the games I already have. For now, I think I'll focus on one at a time. So, more Morrowind.

has anyone pointed out how much nicer it is for user content? morrowind modding has such a lower bar to entry for stuff that fits in perfectly with the original game because of the lack of voice acting.

Exactly! Many characters in Morrowind dispense almost verbatim the same information because the NPCs are a walking WIKI. Don't know where something is? Just ask someone. Chances are many NPCs know where that thing is given the context. Would be insane to have each one voicing identical lines.

Almost 2 years ago now, I played Skyrim, not the first time, but yeah. And that was the game that introduced me to the Elder Scrolls. Months later, I wanted more, so I played Oblivion, then Morrowind, and I loved both of those games as well.

Altars are found in Imperial cult chapels and shrines. In Morrowind, Imperial cult shrines are usually found in legion forts.
