Photo: file MUZAFFARABAD: Senior bureaucrat Muhammad Rashid Hanif has been appointed as secretary information department of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government, according to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) on Sunday. Hanif began his career in 1999.

MUZAFFARABAD: Under the leadership of AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government is fully committed to eliminating public deprivations in the region, as it accelerated development efforts across AJK, said the region’s Minister for Information, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair on Friday. He said that since the formation of the PPP government, the process of construction and development had once again gained momentum throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with its positive impacts now clearly visible at all levels. 

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said on Friday that his government has no plan to start a confrontation with Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). "Our government has implemented 75 per cent of the 39-point agreement signed with the JAAC," he said, adding that public frustration has significantly declined since his administration assumed office.
