early visdev pages for Hush :) i wanted to do mostly warm colors for land/humans and mostly cool colors for the mermaids/ocean settings, as well as keping the little mermaid's clothes muted as she is hiding her true self 😔

despite its flaws this still kinda slaps and it was the first pic i ever drew where i remember really understanding what i was trying to do with piper's hair (which changed my approach to hair in general)

i'm finally. finally. after 7 years. i FINALLY have the knowledge necessary to color-correct Hush for print without having to recolor it from the ground up. idk how long it'll take as it's still not a FAST process, but faster than manually recoloring 😵‍💫
