Credit where it's due, some of the creep-show-type color shifts are gorgeous, too. and individual panels often have great coloring. but its overall vibe is eclectic and aimless with wild swings in readability and quality.

One is that certain companies have long paid for planted reviews that seem naturalistic so having AI do it is just less labor cost.

In the past twenty years certain parties have been working hard at making sure their point of view is naturalistic and objectively true, while ”others” have ”political” opinions. And thus we end up with a lot of designers who can’t make design decisions because their own choices are unconscious.
I don't inherently dislike cosy games as a concept, but what dismays me is presenting stuff as wholesome fun gameplay and totally ignoring the ethical context it comes from... cosy capitalist growth, cosy colonisation, etc ... your design is tweewashing via your assumptions of what's morally neutral

The shadow contrast seems so naturalistic to my eye now. Delightful. For anyone who doesn't play MMOs, what you're looking at is beautiful. The lighting engine upgrade happened over a year ago and I'm still discovering places where it continues to pay off.

Throughout all of this, the film manages to maintain this naturalistic documentary style. We don’t really get jump scares, and the supernatural moments are brief. Kobayashi as a protagonist is actually kind of mundane, but methodical in his pursuit of these tangled threads.

And this is a big deal as most other scientific and mathematical laws are "fundamentally fair". Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out. Life and consciousness defy science and so does their end. In a way that naturalistic explanations alone don't satisfy questions.
