#NewcatleUponTyne On this day, 14th April 2014, the Grade II* Listed Swing Bridge was having a makeover, the lantern top being repaired. The cupola is painted blue as a tip of the hat to the blue stone which marked the border of Newcastle and Durham on the old Tyne Bridge.
