Murky at home but remarkable window of sunshine for our traditional January seaside day Red-breasted Merganser female Llandanwg Some Wigeon in the sunshine at Porthmadog Cob We are quite badly placed to view the aurora but even here it was quite impressive.

Male Goshawk hunting in Denbighshire last week, whilst the female called to him from the adjacent woodland. Wonderful birds and one of the few species that have benefitted from the blanket planting of conifers in the Welsh uplands
