Just purchased something I’ve been wanting but telling myself “no” for over a decade. The FiniteSingularity electronic workbench is about to get upgraded with.. an oscilloscope! I’ve had many projects in the past where it’d be handy, and a couple coming up where it’ll be needed.

That's not how you Q-Tip. you very gently, in a spinning, wiping motion scoop wax from the affected area until clean. If you have a oscilloscope you can see that you are getting the wax, not pushing it in, and there is no damage.

He apparently got the idea after looking through the manual for the analog computer in his lab (a Donner Model 30). It showed how, when modeling the flight of projectiles, the computer could be hooked up to an oscilloscope to display their trajectories. (3/n)

I bought an old, second hand oscilloscope and made something cool.
I’m using WebAudio to send separate signals to the left and right channel. Feed those into the BNC inputs of the oscilloscope. Plot it on the X and Y axis. And you can make arbitrary line drawings.

Having some difficulties with the internal soldered SD flash however… I believe related to it having a block size of 1024 and common Rust SD SPI libraries being designed for 512. Going to take a bit more work to figure out exactly what’s going on there.
