As a Republican-lite democrat controlled by corporate pacs and Israel (AIPAC), it’s hard for him to see, let alone acknowledge the push away from himself.

What a disappointment. He’s got a kind of rhetorical style that can work - but there’s no substance behind it. So much shtick in an empty suit.

He threw a Epstein-esque Gatsby gala & you got crumbs. Such a great Ad injected straight into rural evangelical TV feeds in swing states & heartlands this week, as EBT cards flatline to $0 for 42 million families & ACA premiums explode 26% on renewal notices.

Cc: Dem PACs; get it funded & fired up!

Add in removing PACs and I'd be all-in.

Jeffries is so far removed from what actual Democratic voters want. It's ridiculous. I'm glad they are holding the line in the shutdown - I still want most of them gone. Replaced with people willing to do the right things for people, not PACs and wealthy/corporate donors.

Super PACs have no accountability to voters. Why is this a problem? They don't need to focus on how to solve problems or build coalitions, warns a bipartisan group of former elected officials from our ReFormers Caucus in a newly filed amicus brief. https://tinyurl.com/mrfs7snk

The system is the problem. It’s rigged to only serve corporations & the extreme wealthy. Dark money & Super PACs have to be eliminated to leverage the playing field. Time to amend the Constitution to eliminate this.

my theory about PACs is you don't want 2+ years of dramatically ramped-up media hits because people might start asking what the fuck you're doing with that money and who's getting it. will this all be fatal to AIPAC? probably not. but I don't think they're quite as smug as they were ~3 years ago

I'm in hysterics over the TV spots in the last lap of the Cuomo campaign (technically, one of his PACs),

Because their research obviously showed them that Andrew is considered a world-class prick: shots of deserted subway platforms, doomsday music; female VO sez you don't WANT a "nice guy" as mayor

Someday, if I ever have time, I’ll total up how much this crowd from the NWS GOP club and their related PACs have spent on losing elections. Podgorski’s loss was probably the closest they’ve ever come to a W.

I expect Kessem will do worse.

UDP $37,860,000 in independent expenditures in 2024. That is just inside the top 15 super pacs listed by amount spent. $14,067,863 was spent for Democrats. $20,786,780 was spent against Democrats. $0 was spent for Republicans. $3,043,662 was spent against Republicans.

The influence is focused.

98.5% of Rep. Jodey Arrington's campaign funds come from PACs, special interests, and big donors.

He could also do what Montana is doing - denying corporations the legal right to donate monies to PACs.

Why is he NOT doing that?

If it stopped at making transphobic remarks, that'd be one thing. Still bad, but hardly the crux of the harm she's causing. She's actively (and successfully) funding anti-trans PACs in the UK and pushing pseudoscience legislation in the process using funds she generates from *this very franchise*.

Quite honestly with all of the fits that Jacob's people have been throwing and all of the subversion of the democratic process that he and his people and the shady PACs that support him, I would expect him to drag it out as long as possible if there is any way he can.

Thanks, I know we can do it...we just have to get over this hump of party leaders who are not willing to rock the boat and want to keep things the way they are.

I'm just not sure we can get their buy in for campaign finance reform. We must get rid of PACs & dark money.

Twenty-six billionaires have donated $22 million to super pacs to stop Zohran Mamdani from winning the New York mayoral race. They’re all throwing their money away; Mamdani is going to win. Must be nice to have billions you can just flush down the toilet without flinching.

Dem voters largely cant even admit that their party is a large part of the problem, just because they dont have to deal with the consequences. This isnt about vetting anymore. Most dems at federal level have been compromised by aipac, or corporate pacs.
