Just recently got an invite for a workshop in Sarajevo, and then another one immediately after to teach ML at a winter complex systems school in Petnica (about an hour from Belgrade). Of course, it's just at a time when I can't travel/leave the U.S. :-/

Konkretno to je bilo planirano kao neko veliko okupljanje svih učesnika, ne samo vani... Ne znam, Petnica je bila u međuvremenu postala alternativa, ali i od toga se odustalo. Za nevolju, uz to iskustvo, globalno, drugačije bi se, verujem, postupalo u nekoj sličnoj (ne)prilici u budućnosti.

The study contributes to the seasonal exploration of phototrophic biofilms and ecological parameters at the entrance zone of Petnica Cave. It focuses on the phototrophic biofilm component, with particular attention to the changes in the community over the seasons, the influence of ecological parameters on phototrophic microbial groups, and the appearance and structure of biofilms. The results emphasize the importance of moisture for the composition and resilience of the biofilm and provide insights into the seasonal adaptations of microorganisms in the cave entrance zone ecosystem.

Boris was a huge support to me when I was a highschool student in Petnica Science Center from 2004-2006. Later on, during my BA studies he provided me with comforting and encouraging words which greatly inspired me to follow my dreams.
