I keep meaning to talk about how Ghost of Yotei is so much more striking than Assassin's Creed Shadows because the Ghost of Yotei team isn't just dumping a bunch of photoreal assets together - they play with light and color and mass and detail to compose very specific tableaus for you to discover.

Among other issues, I'm not sure I agree with his belief that AI-generated photographic/photoreal images is more ethically sound than those copying specific artists.

Even "real" images have photographers behind them. Though a different breed, are they not also artists, and worthy of consideration?

The problem of course is that the best models are already 90% of the way to making perfect photoreal images and it only takes one guy having access to that technology to destroy the cultural presumption that photos and videos are evidence of anything
