#PlacesOfInterest: This is one of the quietest, most peaceful places on Earth.

You can only really get there by boat that goes through a part of the Alps that are almost fully vertical, and drops straight into the lake.

There are also vey interesting salt mines nearby.

#PlacesOfInterest: The Giant Groundsel is a prehistoric plant found on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro (which my cousin has climbed).

BTW, the legendary “Snows of Kilimanjaro” are basically no more, thanks to the #ClimateChange that supposedly doesn’t exist.

#PlacesOfInterest: Socotra Island in Yemen. 307 out of the 825 plant species found on the island aren’t found anywhere else on Earth, including these flowering #DragonBloodTrees.

(Three words that really should never be juxtaposed together, except in a DMT fever dream.)

#Architecture: The Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning, designed by Coop Himmelblau, in the Futian Cultural District, Shenzhen, China.

Includes an outer layer of curved perforated metal panels & a climate envelope made from insulated glass.

Heavy Zaha Hadid & Gehry influence.

I’ve loved this style of decoration since I worked as a Scenic Designer for Oscar Wilde’s play “Salomé” back in the Antediluvian Era known as the early 1990s.

Minami cherry blossoms herald the coming spring in Japan.

Both sides of the Aono River (which flows through the middle of Shimogama Onsen), are decorated with the petals of these early-blooming sakura. This area is one of the earliest places in Japan to enjoy hanami.

Welp, I think I’ve found a place I definitely want to stay at next time I’m in Londinium.

Apparently, the birthplace of computer pioneer Alan Turing is now a lovely four-star hotel.

#PlacesOfInterest: This is the Plain of Jars, in the Xieng Khouang Province of Laos.

Listen, they just really like enormous granite jars, big enough to fit 6 people inside.

Because that’s a thing one might do.

For ancient storage reasons.🤨

No, seriously, this is how they buried people.
