i didn't mean to make this about JJK but to wrap around around to the first point..Gege does this stuff all the time adding more and more to the story and power system as the series goes on. it's not a plothole it either hasnt been explained or..maybe you just missed something...which is honestly ok

tbh the whole child thing feels a bit like a minor plothole, since the child never gets mentioned again and for other reasons in the future LSH and YJH are more platonic than romantic imo

Back To The Future 2 has a small plothole: Future Biff would be unable to return the DeLorean to Marty and Doc in 2015, as he created a new timeline they aren’t in.
But it doesn’t matter.

I will throw the bone that a potential plothole is not using animal corpses instead of human corpses. However, a lot of the creatures large enough for that to provide a good amount will kill you rather easily if you’re not good at combat.

when i spent my year getting into then being repulsed by star trek i developed The Plothole Generosity Paradigm: if a plot doesn't make sense but you could imagine a short scene or couple of lines to clear it up, then you can let yourself imagine that the explanation was cut for time and move on.
