Spent what felt like half the day remodeling these stupid parts bc they kept throwing errors x_x but I finally got them fixed! They're what's going on those circle parts with the square pegs on the collar.

the "oh here's this thing that wasn't ever supposed to exist irl, now go make it without any kind of guidance" challenge in costuming/propmaking/effects is the MOST fun kind of problem to solve I've ever encountered in my life. I get to work with my hands and brains and there's so many possibilities

Some play with plumbing supplies - that's what this "blaster" is made of. It's a prop, NOT a weapon. In fact, I don't like firearms, but they're great to learn engineering in a small workshop and some of mine get to used in films ;-)

Forgot to post this: the finished Moogle moonfaire mask! I had a ton of setbacks and made a lot of mistakes, but I'm proud of how this turned out! I might try to sell a few once I get some kinks in the creative process ironed out.

This reminds me of the "wireframe" in Escape from New York being a scale model - it's from a time when propmaking was the cheaper, more accessible alternative to computer graphics!
The Japanese Mario 64 official strategy guide is an incredible thing. "Can we make little hand-made dioramas of all the levels?" "Sure, why the hell not."
