He's NOT his whole legacy. What about Roll? Or even Protoman? Didn't his other industrial/household style bots revolutionize the world? And X isn't even named Mega Man. X is a previously unseen type of robot and technology that inspired the creation of the mavericks/hunters of the future.

I guess I assume the original MegaMan is long since dead/deactivated/whatever, same as Roll, Protoman, and the rest of the DLN style robots since none of the original cast shows up in the X games.

HOLD BACK THE NIGHT is about hope & will, two of the strongest themes of the story. Roll has hope for a better city, not under the rule of Dr. Wily. She's a spiritual successor to Joe and Dr. Light, but she's smarter than Joe and has the hope and determination Dr. Light lost when Protoman was lost.

im not sure how much missing content there is, though i believe there was supposed to be more with protoman and the doc robot stages, but it's a very glitchy and unpolished game, particularly in the later stages. iirc the start room of the final stage before the boss was literally a debug test room
