The amount of BS about drug use is staggering. As long as I have breath, I am gonna keep speaking out, and sharing fact-based information.

what do you think his stance will be on deregulating methadone? or safe supply? or overdose prevention centers? cant wait to continue to not do the things we should be doing to take care of PWUDs 😒

Even if it makes it harder, that’s just going make them spend longer in the bathroom trying to hit. I’m not sure why these people think you can deter PWUDs like animals (or I do know why but… man).

One of the many reasons I bang on about language that stigmatizes PWUDs. It means people don't ask for help, even when desperately needed. This is what the "War on Drugs" has done to people:

As the child of an addict, the child of a leading D&A clinician, an ex addict, peer support worker, and someone who loves many PWUDs, I promise you that it's not exclusively used for that at all. I've only recently heard it used that way, and I'm speaking from knowing many people who are hurt by it

I don't doubt that you don't mean it in the context of PWUDs, but I know that many people who hear it do take it that way. All slang is colloquial, sure, but that's my point.
