Looks like they needed but often couldnt tell you how many arent really developer focused. Events like DevNexus, ConnectTech, PyCon, etc that are racist, ableist, etc. is where we are... This is the starting point for a great resource. I wish I had only known you liked CAKE!

My first 4 CFPs to PyCon US were rejected, took me a few years to get one. Often several people post the same talk as you and it's just bad luck.

You can usually find such setups at PyCon US and EuroPython Sprints. Larry Hastings is particularly known for his. That's the source of my inspiration, FWIW.

He really is a great speaker. This talk from PyCon US in May was a tour-de-force that earned a standing ovation. I was pleased the PSF didn't censor anything given that he called out major sponsors of the event/foundation. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydVm...
