Please direct people to their local Diaper Bank. They collect unused diapers (kid outgrew newborn size but you still have half a pack left etc) & menstrual hygiene products to redistribute free to those in need. Post menopause, I donated my unopened tampon boxes there. Someone can use them!

As a kid, organizing the candy into a communal pool to redistribute least and most favorites among my siblings was probably more fun than gathering the candy. The rule was you pick 1 favorite from your own haul to keep and pool the rest.
And we have now progressed from data analysis to policy recommendations.

Currently reading Eric Foner's Reconstruction and it's unbelievable how popular it was to argue that you couldn't redistribute land from plantation owners to freedmen because then they wouldn't know the value of hard work. Who in the world could know that value better than someone who was enslaved?

Even in a communist utopia there would still need be a way to redistribute resources ("from each according to their abilities") to people in an equitable fashion ("to those according to their needs"). This would, bluntly, be considered 'taxation', in a way.
