For example, she turns away from theories of "grounded normativity" and offers grounded *relationality* instead. I love that.

Normativity is prescriptive.

Relationality is layered and variable. Important distinctions.

The 2025 LSAANZ Conference, hosted by the University of Canterbury on the beautiful lands of the Ngāi Tūāhūriri, was so so good. Its themes of rights, relationality, resilience and reciprocity shone through every session. My sincere thanks to all the organisers, and especially @prof-mac.bsky.social

Wildest thing about doing this thesis on the digital vā was that it’s only been this year that I actually, maybe, slightly understood what that might actually mean. Which has been horrifying bc… dear god, I’ve unwittingly signed myself up for theorising relationality.

As educators, how are we interrogating forms of assessment that deaden learning and reduce it to acts of separation, possession and individualism? What might assessment for reciprocity, relationality and transformation look like? #OPCLeadLearn

We are well past the phase of late stage capitalism where we can simply give each other a pass for the way we consume.

Ethics of consumption is real.

How we choose to subsist in the world matters. Relationality matters.

The only way another world comes into being is if we create with our actions.

Other questions, like the relationality of autotheory, are more straightforward ethics questions so I will have to seek approval anyway. But how to communicate this scenario in that process is something I don't understand.

I'm puzzling something and by puzzling I mean have identified a question I'll need to rely on someone else's expertise to answer. What are the ethics of un/certainty? Particularly in relation to interpretation, relationality and vulnerability.

OG Luddites broke technical instruments because they made their work and lives worse. Now that modernity has technoloogized every possible aspect of daily life for datafied extractivism, the tasks of 21st century luddism extend into everyday relationality.
In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.

Estrangement is the opposite of connection or relationality. It's important to note here that some people who make the decision to be "no contact" were already emotionally estranged from the parent or family system... sometimes for their entire lives (speaking from experience).

get a load of this guy, the animist therian is yet again ranting about the relationality of life and death and consumption and how humans are alienated by modernity from their interconnectedness with the rest of nature. typical
Death is an inherent aspect of eating another living thing, and being aware of that relationality imo is an important aspect of like, being homo sapiens. Repressing acknowledgement of that cycle of death/life only atomizes us as individuals to make us complacent in the face of industrial abuse
