The University of Virginia became the fifth of nine targeted institutions to reject the administration’s ❝Compact for Academic Excellence,❞ saying preferential federal access tied to political conditions would corrode merit, academic freedom, and public trust. MIT, Brown, Penn, and USC have also declined. The compact sought caps on international enrolment, a five-year tuition freeze and restrictions on institutional speech. Virginia legislators warned signing would invite further interference, and pro-faculty demonstrations reinforced the rebuff. UVA’s interim leadership framed its stance as defence of merit-based research and independence, signalling resistance to executive overreach into higher education.

For the most part she gets yelled over, demeaned, and any good points she makes are shot down by a rest of the people there. She can win on the facts but loses in the environment. Thus her act only serves to strengthen the audiences resistance to her ideas. She's also a centrist at best.
