I agree. Control is nice. But translink doesn’t have control, just responsibility. As far as I know anyway. I may be wrong but I think MoTI tells them what is going to happen when it comes to highway widening/maintenance/etc. and pitches in funding based on preliminary budgets. and it’s never enough

Exactly what i was talking about in my thread yesterday. The Times has increasingly absolved itself of its responsibility to give readers knowledge. instead it hides behind reporting qualified with “appeared” and “some say”, apparently desperate not to get caught asserting anything.
The NYTimes was not able to rule out the possibility that Donald Trump was actually filmed wearing a crown and flying a jet that doused Americans with diarrhea.
"Brown liquid" ftw. I thought they'd at least acknowledge the consistency. I also love the "appeared to be AI." I think it's pretty safe to conclude he didn't have the whizzes at Industrial Light and Magic whip that up for him.

It's also the shifting of responsibility to nobody and nowhere. We the People don't want to take responsibility for our own actions, and yet we throw doubt and suspicion and sarcasm at the government for trying to keep us healthy and happy (i.e. vaccines), and even fed (SNAP, WIC--now "socialism").

3) DO take all the leave you are entitled to if you want it. If you take less make sure that’s about you. Some new parents don’t feel like themselves without work and others feel best when early parenthood is their only (massive!) responsibility. DON’T let others dictate what’s best for you

This is a pretty good story of how helpful small-town know-how can be.
I refilled a prescription from CVS, requested delivery. Got a text, photo of the delivery locations front door was DEFINITELY not my house.
Drove to CVS. Took 0 responsibility for a failed delivery. I was gonna be out $2000.
