Fixed the internal drive on this bad boy. The belt was fine; cleaned the heads, rails (and applied sewing machine oil), and belt pulleys. So so very happy to have this working as it should!

If you’re paying attention you’ll see the rated *input* voltage of the inverter board is different. However I actually measured it and at least without load, the inverter board seems to be powered at just slightly over 7V. So the 5V is a lie. #retroapple

Hum, the specs are close enough and the pinout is the same. I wonder if I should keep the inverter board together with the panel. I'm sort of afraid of frying something… first two are Samsung, last one is LG. #retroapple #retrocomputing

#retroapple peeps, just double-checking, the + terminal of the PRAM battery is pointing *away* from the PCI slots, right? I’ve seen a few images out there where I think the battery is installed in the wrong position…

Ok just got the heck of it I reconnected the old Quantum hard drive that was originally in this external case and… OMG! Yes that was my boot screen for the LC, now in 1-bit! It boots! It boots!!! All my stuff is still here! I’m giggling like a little kid. Gonna explore this! #retroapple
