I’ve been thinkin the same thing! The colors just look so good and how pokemon are rendered is one of my favorite ways they’ve done them in 3d! The rimlight on them and slightly blue shadows are 🤌

I've also added lights: 1 spotlight high up in the trees to get more light on the face but not lose the shadows of the branches, one rimlight and one spotlight pointing at the branches behind her which will result in nice bokeh highlights in the DOF. After that I add RTGI in reshade.

I'm Oliver, I'm an OC and fanartist painting in a soft realism style. Mainly into Fire Emblem, Zelda, Tales Of and Xenoblade, but others creep up too. 💙

As I said on Sunday, the Blender shaders I was using at that time weren't really where I wanted 'em to be. Here is my progress since then. In Blender shader nodes I brewed up a rimlight, shadow, and widget to make sure rimlights don't show up in the middle of shadows.

I have seen it weeks ago and I'm still thinking about how incredible the look/design of the "bad guy" in Thunderbolts is.
Don't want to spoil it, so no pictures. But that subtle rimlight on the silhouette and reflection in the eyes was a really nice touch. I really loved it !

There were some q's about the other FREAK in the back-- his jaw is a little different from the guy in front, I blame not detailing the structure of the jaw in the sketch stage. some say the hand melts into the lantern but that just appears to be a line tangent and lack of a rimlight on pinkie. 8/12
