I hadn't thought about this earlier, but actually neither the Voigtländers nor the Icarette (my oldest rollfilm folders) have any kind of pressure plates, while all my other folder cameras do. Maybe the idea of a 'pressure plate' was just starting to emerge in the very early 30s?

You're correct. Not just large-format cameras, but basically all folder cameras used the rails system until the 30s. These early 30s Voigtländers were probably the last rollfilm cameras to stick with the old system; e.g. contemporary Zeiss Icons were already using the cantilever system.

opa väterlicherseits schenkte in den 50ern seine ~1950er 120er rollfilmkamera seiner schwiegertochter - meiner mam. sie fotografierte damals alles mit dem schwarz-silbernen würfel - außer mir sogar die ehemalige zuckerfabrik im heilbronner rosenberg, das jugendstilhallenbad, das alte fischer-theater in der allee, die alte und enge eisenbahnbrücke über die sontheimer landwehr, das stakenfährboot am alten neckar zw neckarhalde und der telefunken/dem neckarstadion. (ja, wir hatten ein neckarstadion! für uns freie reichsstädter war das provinznest stuttgart unendlich weit weg! 😎) ein einfacher springfederverschluss, das objektiv ist eine glasscheibe ohne einstellmöglichkeit, durch die beiden 'augen' li und re vom 'adina'-schriftzug schaute man wahlweise im hochkant- oder querbetrieb aufs motiv. unter dem objektiv ein eindrehbarer gelbfilter für wolkigen himmel. (vllt bestücke ich sie mal mit einem rollfilm?...) 😁

Was also considering that. The Fuji is probably heavier anyway? And I can also do 6x12 and whatnot.

I just picked up a Super-Angulon 90mm f/5.6 today too; that would be a perfect focal length for a 6x9 or 6x12 rollfilm back.
