What gives me joy?
Going to unexplored locations with my camera and photographing scenes that I had never seen before. Each location has its own energy and story to tell.
This was taken in San Francisco @ Palace of Fine Arts.

That sort of iconic line up in the @romanpalace visitors’ book from 1968 would sound like a pipe dream these days.

Jon Adams on Margaret Rule, a look at her career from Sussex and the discovery/directorship at @romanpalace to the triumph of the Mary Rose. Considered also that she made some ethical judgements in her career that deserve scrutiny now.

@RomanFindsGrp @Matt0791 @romanpalace @Roman_Britain @TheRomanSoc ? Any ideas for light, exciting but more or less evidence/original sources-based reading? Roman Imperial History 1st-3rd century?
Thanks to working with @ElsaKPrice @TullieHouse I'm really getting into Roman Imperial history. Just read up on this lady: Julia Maesa. She was a piece of work! Blimey! That makes me think: Twitter! Is there a well written Imperial Roman History book? I really want to read more!

Also, the hoard contained about four of these which are, helpfully, down as "fixing, spiked collar". Someone suggested "joiners dog" to me which would make sense- @Roman_Tools @RomanFindsGrp @romanpalace @roman_wales have you seen anything like this before in a Roman context?
