Thinking snowy thoughts today.

Salary sacrifice is a poor way of subsidising.

More cash for those with higher tax rates (meaning more income) is the opposite of what we should be doing - getting solar panels onto the rooves of fuel poor families. Poorer families have less salary to sacrifice, meaning less or no subsidy for them

As with the first image by Boris Michaliček, this photo was taken on the path of fitted stones. It is clearly twilight as the clouds are as lavender as the flowers below them.

Realizing I failed to commit to the plural of roof. It turns out "roofs" is the accepted standard form, and "rooves" is archaic.

The rooves and parking lots are not going to save you.

TNC made a very generous assumption about roofs (solar on 35% of them), and it gets us 10% of the way there.

take a look at this bad boy, still got it's original 15th century north arcade and chancel, hardly ever leaks

(We heard we're taking photos of nice old rooves?)

The Princess Charlotte pub in Colchester, a fuck-ugly building with pitched rooves, a redbrick first storey, white-rendered first floor, except for the random black-wooden clad bit of first floor. It has nasty, small windows, and is difficult to describe, but it’s roundabout-in-an-out-of-town-shopping-‘park’ architecture, and it’s fucking awful
