I think my issue is this feels kind of like a rugpull. Why should people develop for VRChat features if they’re just going to remove them? Why give a shit about avatar optimization if you’re just going to default them to imposters? Literally what is lost by leaving a feature already implemented???
While the dust has settled and there’s likely no reversing the situation I find it really weird VRChat would remove the ability to select custom fallbacks all together and not just default imposters and allow the user to add a fallback if they choose to. Obv I have bias due to the Rasona, but yeah.

I myself was early into the meme, and have found myself a bit scared of this recent 90% dump, but after really thinking about this further have decided to add to my bag here and I won’t be selling.

an under discussed facet of it scamming poor people is how it is notorious for robbing people in much poorer regions like South Asia and East Africa. It hits a lot different when you realize that $20 of rugpull was someone’s household wages for a few weeks.
