Totally by coincidence, the runtimes of the three Druid: Daemons of the Mind episodes add up to a very satisfying number 😌

A little bit of behind the scenes.
Internet Archive actually supports a half-dozen emulators in browser, but the giant is a emscripten-compiled version of MAME. (We need to make a bunch of runtimes to do it, but they're all MAME.)
Since the beginning, minor issues have existed.

Emscripten 4.0.19 is out! 🎉

A major improvement for dynamic linking landed: the main module is built statically, without relocation overhead, making it smaller and faster. Only dynamic libraries now have relocation overhead. This makes dynamic linking much more useful 🚀

⚠️ runc container escape exploited
Attackers abuse the runc runtime to break out of containers, execute code on hosts and deploy malware. Patch runtimes, harden container configs, and monitor kernel anomalies to stop escapes.

I know it's first world problems, but right now I'm taking issue with the run times of tv shows changing from episode to episode.
I can't plan how to end my night when runtimes vary wildly.

Steam won’t verify Crooked Knobs for Steam Deck for now therefore the demo won’t be verified
If you’re among those who follow those badges religiously, Download it and launch it anyway, I prepped it with commands and runtimes so it works perfectly fine out of the box

Most #JavaScript runtimes make you choose fast startup or fast execution.
We refused that trade-off.
#Elide compiles your entire app + dependencies into one native binary that:
• Starts in < 5 ms
• Uses 10× less memory than #Node
• Runs anywhere (no VM)
We refused that trade-off.

Though I feel like 120 min is starting to be pushed as the norm, the only films I've seen that length that justified their runtimes at least tried to do something diff w structure, to varying success.
No way something like Scream 6 needs to be that long, but Sinners did.

Oh yeah, Hazbin season 2 is aiming to be literal peak. Episodes 1 and 2 are both excellent and the longer runtimes really prove to be a boon for the story. I need the rest of the season injected into my veins.

Apparently, none of them watched last night’s World Series game to the end at almost 3 AM EST.
Of all the petty arguments from grifters I hear about AEW, The PPV runtimes is the pettiest of all.

Episode runtimes, song titles, plot points... nothing's safe with some of these "spoiler-free" reviews, so be VERY mindful of which reviews you choose to read!

Anyone remember asm.js?
It allowed you to add "use asm" directives to functions and runtimes would compile them to binary. It was ahead of its time, but was criticized as forking JavaScript syntax and creating vendor lock in for Firefox.
It became WebAssembly.

I'd also turn off "Google Colaboratory" from G-Drive, which is another genAI product. It seems like it needs an install first, but I'd rather turn access to it via G-Drive off in advance.

When I've done interview episodes for The History of Yugoslavia, I have a checklist of things to cover and I cut out a lot of irrelevant chat, and they *still* have much longer runtimes than scripted narrative episodes because natural-sounding conversation is inherently unnecessarily verbose.

Some kernel anti cheats have proton runtimes so they can run, but the problem is they have to be specifically enabled by the developer. Apex Legends used to work out of the box until the developers banned all linux users (# of cheaters didn't go down) The Finals, Arc Raiders, Halo MCC, etc all work.

the complaints about AEW PPV runtimes are particularly funny when they come from accounts that have never made a post about AEW, or it’s been a loooooooooooong time, and suddenly it’s time to complain. 😂 #AEW #AEWWrestleDream 🤼

honestly - I have no idea. I'm not a engineer. One candidate did try and explain their recent talk on runtimes, and I appreciated the effort. Thankfully I'm not evaluating any technical capabilities.
