Therapy was very intense again today but left me a lot calmer and feeling actually able to try the self-compassion thing more vigorously for now...
As a treat, I cycled 14km to the nearest garden centre & bought 8 new plant pots...which I somehow managed to fit in my backpack.

Oops! I didn’t get any Lizard pictures tonight!
Here is a Lizard picture I don’t think I’ve posted yet
It’s not the best photo, but I think it’s funny!

🦎Lizard of the Day suspects you are not a bug!
Also, I don’t have a picture because I was holding Cat, but Gobblekins saw me pick up Cat & was SO CONFUSED!
This has happened several times before, & Gobblekins is always flummoxed & looks all over to see where Cat went!😹

🦎Lizard of the Day is happy I watered the plants because it disturbs BUGS!
ALSO, there was CAT DRAMA!
A 2nd orange cat showed up on the patio, complaining loudly about having balls.
Both Gobblekins & Cat were MAD!
Cat was especially mad there were TWO cats on her patio!
(Photo below not from today)

Lizard of the Say is looking for bugs!
I think it is interesting that I frequently see green anoles on the ginger and the sansevieria, but I rarely see brown anoles there. I wonder why?

Thanks to mootie's suggestion, he now has a name...
this is Atter! also known as Professor Sansevieria.
He's allegedly a pokemon professor but is quite secretive about what his research entails. He's happy to give out a Pokedex, though.

Is Lizard of the Day the same one I posted yesterday? Maybe! But I do know there were at least two teenaged green anoles in this part of the patio, so it might be a different Lizard!

Dracaena has at least 3 kinds of inflorescences. Some have unbranched racemes, others have branched racemes, & another group, like this D. pethera (Sansevieria kirkii), has dense umbels. The flowers open at night, have a sweet fragrance & are moth-pollinated. #Dracaena #Asparagaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

Toad of the Day is Loud Toad, who I rarely see but frequently hear. I was lucky to see him getting out of bed this morning. I really should clean out this flower pot, but how could I take away Loud Toad’s house???

Dracaena includes plants formerly placed in Sansevieria & Pleomele. It’s popular in cultivation, & I’m not the only one who has a collection of various species & cultivars. The genus is widespread but most species-rich in Africa. #Dracaena #Asparagaceae #TropicalBotany #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

My mother-in-law’s tongues (aka snake plant aka Sansevieria Trifasciata) have been producing several offshoots in the same pots. Can I just peel this away from the parent plant and stick them in separate pots of earth, or do I need to follow a complicated procedure?

Finally got around to repotting my collection of indoor plants, and proving supports to the Indian money plants, one of which has been growing in water, still alive but no leaves. Hopefully the potting and support will get it restarted. The begonia and sansevieria seem to be reaching for the stars.
