1st post! Great to highlight my PD project:
LUQTEE, the Luquillo Throughfall Exclusion Experiment!

We study how trees cope under drought, with 3 experimental 20x20m drought plots in Puerto Rico. Point dendrometers, sapflow sensors, water potentials. And more! Pics from last week helping building.

Spent the week installing #dendrometers and #climate sensors in southern Sweden where we are looking at the impacts of chronic drought on Spruce🌲 health, soil 🦠🍄‍🟫 and bark beetle🪲 attack. #sapflow and water potential tensiometers are coming next week! @Maartje klapwijk

Setting up d13C flux measurements for @forwards-project.bsky.social supersite in Ränskälänkorpi. Trees have also dedrometers and sapflow measurements. Interesting to see if coming summer is dry....

One year ago, our DL-ISF was part of an Art Basel installation—hidden among trees & art. Alongside soil moisture, temperature, and conductivity, our Sapflow Sensor tracks water flow in trees, helping researchers understand how trees manage water.

In the #FeMoPhys project, leaf gas exchange and #sapflow were measured to investigate the temporal lag between stem water transport and leaf gas exchange, while also testing sap flow as a tool to estimate leaf-level gas exchange in mature trees. Preliminary results were presented at this years GFÖ!
