This is a paradigm shift, because until now, autism supports have focused on keeping us alive. Not helping us find comfort, peace, and happiness (how I'm defining autistic self-actualization).

And this is so heavily inbuilt into our culture that simply owning a gun is seen as sufficient for achieving the degree of self-actualization needed to act in self-defense... without any real emphasis on collective self-defense through developing a collective capability to use violence effectively.

The base of my "Hierarchy of Needs" pyramid is the need to be hypnotized and sat on. I can't achive self-actualization until my brain is mush and my body is held firmly in place by the heft of their ass.

This is Econ 101 stuff though. Diminishing marginal utility to new wealth: he *already* has everything he can buy and always will, so the only thing left to focus on is pandering to his own feelings & weird social cachet stuff. Self-actualization for a man who refuses self-improvement.

In the past 3 months, I've gone from nervously going to a job interview after 2.5 years unemployed, to helping out with the interviewing process for the next candidate for this company

Self actualization and the ability to be vulnerable is more superior than operating out of scarcity and always reacting and signaling differentiation to a perceived enemy, instead of just organically being oneself.

My pet belief is that the trans experience, in broad essential ways, is actually very universal - suppression of self, desire for actualization, masking, conflict with society, conflict with self - and any story which deals with identity is going to at least graze those themes inevitably.
