I have no preference for gender, but I require that those I tie with be moral, self-aware, & not push hard limits of either party.
More should know that ethics & virtue supersede gender when scening with others both for your safety and their own.

I think I want to learn to self tie maybe. I was thinking about it bc I had a pretty bad experience with shibari before where my ex gf watched a 2min youtube video and tried to tie me up with yellow prickly hardware store rope 😀 so maybe I could learn to do it on myself to possibly overcome my fear?

Tech & show week for my kid which means a very lonely week for me between the back and forth. It’s a bit grueling for the kid but I have a ton of alone time. Pick up from school daily, kid gets her costume on in the car, eats in the car and rehearses every day till 8. Shows start Thursday. 🎭

And you should really not tie your self-worth to something as far out of your control as income! It’s setting yourself up for disaster if lose your job, and imo it’s really insulting to people who earn less money but are just as valuable as human beings and members of society.

So that's the second thing that a president has: Article II, the inherent right of self-defense. If somebody is about ready to launch missiles at the U.S. or launch an attack, the president does have the authority to strike those people. Drug runners do not qualify for that. And I know —drugs kill-and they do. They kill tens of thousands of people. But it is not the intention of the drug runners to kill people. They're selling drugs, and drugs are a major problem in this country. I happen to think it's as much of a demand problem as it is a supply problem-but it is not a direct attack to try and kill Americans or seize territory in America. And it sure as hell isn't that on a boat off the coast of Venezuela that is thousands of miles from the U.S. And that's the other thing-they haven't presented a shred of evidence that those boats were even headed to the United States. Smith: Yeah and also understand the other connection, as you've seen the stories about Trump authorizing CIA action in Venezuela. I have no independent confirmation of that other than what I've read in the media. And as you see the rhetoric from him ramp up about the Maduro regime in Venezuela, is this really about stopping drugs or is he engaged in a regime change effort in Venezuela, which certainly hasn't been approved of by Congress and certainly doesn't fall under the Article II designation. Trump has mused about how now maybe they may bo hitting targets on land within Venezuela. So he is asserting the unilateral right to start a war with Venezuela Smith: I've not been briefed. I don't know if I'd go so far as, I expect war. But if we, as a country, don't stand up and say, no, President Trump, you do not have the unilateral power to override the Constitution and do whatever you want whenever you want whenever you want to do it-Trump's just going to keep expanding. And look, I'll tie a little terrifying connection in for you here. You hear what's going on in Chicago—and it's going on in other cities as well—but in Chicago, most blatantly, they are literally stopping people on the street and demanding their papers. If they don't have them-frequently citizens, legal residents— are being detained by your United States federal government without any probable cause, articulable suspicion, or any measure, just because they showed up and they want to say it. They are violating our rights individually, and then Trump is asserting his right to use the United States military in any way that he sees fit— certainly in the Caribbean, but also right here in the United States of America. He's trying to send them to Portland, trying to send them to Chicago. How far are we away from President Trump deciding to use the U.S. military to do a kinetic strike on people within the U.S. because he sees them as a threat, by whatever definition he wants to throw out there? I want to say-and I know there's a lot of people on the left and in the Democratic Party who are all over this— but I want to say to the rest of you who are not: come on. I mean, you could not like the Democrats, you could not like a bunch of our policies. Hell, you can oppose the Affordable Care Act, you can oppose a bunch of other things. If you are an American conservative, do you want the federal government to be able to have that type of power-to take away your liberty-whether it's Trump or anybody else?

I think that could tie into how there was a period where my self-confidence (and esteem, if we're keeping it honest) was so low that all I relied to get by socially was assimilation. If a group of people on a site were known for being funny(funny twitter), I'd lean on that just to be noticed by them

This time, though… Grilled enjoyed being in control. A sick, lirist pleasure bloomed in his chest, realizing he could do anything he wanted to Aubergine and there was nothing the other man could do to stop him. Not that Grilled would do anything like that. Aubergine was his treasure, and treasure needed to be protected. Aubergine swung the knife at Grilled’s back with all his might, intending to stab a critical blow into his spinal cord. The younger man stopped his arm, holding it back with his detached hand while the rest of his body remained in a seductively demure pose. With a wicked smile, Grilled pushed away from Aubergine’s mouth and looked him in the eyes. “You never warned me that your berserker self is deceptive.” Aubergine breathed deep. “My berserker self forgot how stupidly strong Derion hands are.” Grilled and Aubergine from the Good Thyme Inn books. Grilled is sitting on Aubergine’s knee as he sits on a stool at the bar. They’re being cheeky and gay with each other, about to put their respective phallic fruits in each others’ mouths. Grilled is a light-skinned man with silver hair and wearing a bowler hat. Aubergine is a dark-skinned man with jewels on his face, and he’s dressed all in purple.

I was told by my ex even a few years ago that it was not a good atmosphere to be coming out.

It wasn't a choice, like wearing a bow tie. I'm me, I must live my life as my true self. I was afraid but I drove forward, as I had turned back too often and that hurt more.

In 1857, Thomas Howland became Providence, RI's first Black elected official.

Later that year, he decided to emigrate to Liberia with his wife & daughter after the Dred Scott case denied Black people protections of U.S. citizenship. He was denied a passport.

Because of this decision, Howland's application for a passport was denied, despite his status as a free man with the right to vote in his home state (he did eventually make it to Liberia).
