I don't know honestly, I was only ever competitive in 3S, SF4, and briefly SF5. most of the whiny stuff I heard came from casual play at locals and people trying to stick whip their way to a win and failing

That was me going into Street Fighter. Blazblue taught me rushdown and then I learned F.A.N.G. in SF5 along with Cammy and it's interesting how those other characters can improve our mains through the change in perspective on the game

they miss the rate they were released at during sf5 as someone else commented but they also used to help fund esports events which is why people were so annoyed when capcom announced the recent pay-per-view stuff

as the #1 SF5 defender I definitely agree, and the look of sheer joy on people I see who just settle down and give it a fair shot makes it worth it every time.
in the end, you give people good gameplay and it only takes a small boost to get people hooked.

I've been starting to think that people are more susceptible to marketing than they believe to be. SF6 doubles down on all of the decisions that people complained about in SF5, but it isn't landing with the same vitriol because the launch wasn't complete ass. It's disheartening.

I am not fond of most popular design choices that aim to make a character looks attractive, like early Mortal Kombat female designs. However, I'm not against sex appeal as a design feature, in fact I think MK is not sexy enough.
I just need designers to make more inspired choices.

They literally had a goal of watering down 6 to make inputs and mixups easier. I'm not paying $40 to play babies first fg. I don't hate sf as a whole and understand the business decision after how sf5 went but that shit ain't for people who've been playing for years

That's such an awesome gift! I feel like somehow I forgot all about SF5 nor remember it being promoted. SF4 came out when I was in highschool and everyone was talking about it and the new art design and such. Then 6 just recently came out and I remember seeing the hype for that as well
